This week's Patio Sessions is sort of bittersweet as we host Ana Rubio's send-off party as she and her husband Jorge make the move to Guanajuato, Mexico. We welcome the Spacebyrdz for their first Patio Sessions appearance whom have been making waves in Vegas and beyond with their techno and techhouse based DJ sets and original studio productions. You can catch them grinding it out all over Vegas on any given week opening for some of the world's top DJ talent or busting their ass on their own events into the wee hours and beyond.

Ana has been taken under their wings over the years (so to speak) and has definitely come into her own and has become one of Vegas' hottest underground dance DJs. Sticking to her guns and always keeping the music quality top notch along with tight mixing and programming, Ana will be greatly missed in the Vegas dance music scene.

This is an all vinyl set which is a continuation of my set on XRadio.biz for DJ Psychomagnet's show here in Las Vegas. I was feelin' the vibe pulling out a lot of my old bangers so I had to get it out of my system.

I would like to make a special note on the remix of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" that I put on this mix. It is a 15 minute long epic which is hands down THE original trance/progressive house record in my opinion. This is a super rare 12" remix done in 1982 by Patrick Cowley on the legendary Casablanca records. The clincher is that I found this record in mint condition in the plastic at an Arc Thrift Store in Denver for $2. Epic!

Patio Sessions has been great so far this summer with surprise international guest DJ's, along with a huge amount of support from the Las Vegas Underground! You may recognize the name from the classic tale by Charles Dickens, but this Oliver Twist isn't a character from a children's book! Here, his name is synonymous with the Southern California club scene. Spinning grooves for over 18 years! He has played at some of the best clubs and parties in the country like Level (Miami), Utopia (Vegas), Coachella, Giant (LA), Honey (LA), Union@Montage (San Diego) and Remedy (OC). Currently Oliver Twist has residencies at one of LA's biggest and best nightclubs, Spundae and with the infamous Funky Tekno Tribe. We our proud to welcome Oliver to PS in Las Vegas!

We are extremely excited for this week's special guest DJ, Garth from the legendary Wicked Crew (San Francisco). Garth has been an incredible influence throughout the early DJ careers of Frank Richards and myself along with being one of the key players in America's dance music history starting in the early nineties.

Over the years, Garth has blown us away with some incredible sets that have always incorporated a broad perspective of dance music spanning over many decades. He is one of those rare DJs that has always had that special knack to bring it all together as one cohesive night of dancefloor bliss.

Please join us for this very special evening as one of America's iconic dance music legends joins us at this week's edition of Patio Sessions along with resident DJ Frank Richards and special guest Keith Evan on support duty.

...and don't forget Garth Part II as he joins the crew for a special poolside set at Lounge Inn located at the Artisan Pool. Hands down, this has been one of my favorite parties of the summer. Sorry for the long email ahead of time but we have a lot on the platter for you guys this week and upcoming so here. We. Go!

Looks like the ole Vegas weather decided to roll right into the heat of summer with no real Spring to speak of this year...at least it's not cold and windy that's all I gotta say.

This week we have a double header of guests joining us from my hometown of Denver featuring special guests Sante Suffoletta and Zac Larsen. Sante was one of Denver's original rave DJs when I was coming up in the scene there and owe a lot to him and a handful of other Denver jocks for lighting the dance music torch and keeping burning for the next generation to come.

On the other end of the spectrum, Zac held down the last underground specialty record shop in Denver called Sweat Records. That is not to say he is not a veteran of the scene as he has put on events with the likes of Fred Everything and more along with holding it down on the 1's and 2's in his own right.

Zac is also responsible for launching one of the first and only sustainable clothing/te-shirt companies in Colorado called Commit Clothing. We are proud to have Commit Clothing sponsor this weekend's festivities along with providing FREE giveaways for evening!!! Come scoop up some stylin', environmentally conscious gear!

For those of you that don't know, Barry Weaver is one of North America's legendary DJs from the old school rave scene. He came and rocked the house countless amounts of times in my hometown (Denver) over the years and has pretty much become extended family when it comes to my many connections through music. Barry has been an integral part of America's dance music scene over the years laying down countless amounts of amazing DJ sets over the years and we are very proud to have him as our special guest over this Memorial Day Weekend.

I have an especially soft spot for MDW in Las Vegas as it has become one of the premier destinations to hear dance music in the US provided by big name DJs all weekend long. Dance music takes center stage all weekend long in a town that is known more for it's DJs that have invented the "mash-up" genre opposed to being a legitimate place to hear some of the hottest underground dance music...so join us as we get together for this very special occasion as we bring one of America's most under rated DJs for a night to remember. First things first. As the weather is getting a little nipply out at night lately we have decided to move our weekly house jammie indoors for the time being. Now we can all get drunk at the bar and still rock out to some bumpin' house music. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself.

This week we have DJ Theory as our special guest who needs no introduction. Having had residencies all over Las Vegas as well as playing alongside a dope funk/soul band on the regular, Theory is definitely one of this cities most versatile DJs. Theory has the ability to play a wide range of sets from downtempo, to hip-hop, to deep, to funky to bangin' and everything in between but one thing is for certain...it will always have mad urban flava in your ear. One of his biggest influences and inspirations in the house spectrum of music he plays is Mark Farina so can expect to put a little funk in yo trunk when Theory is on the decks.

As the Vegas weather cools down, Patio Sessions heats things back up as we bring you a stacked lineup this week. We are very excited to have Chicago's DJ Jes (Fresca Recordings) in the house this week as he is responsible for one of my favorite records called "Personal Surroundings" that came out years ago on Siesta. DJ Jes takes the loopy, jackin', disco sounds of Chicago and infuses them with rolling tribal rhythms and grooved out tracky goodness. This seasoned DJ/producer has put out a ton of records over the years and has definitely carved out his own expression of what Chicago house is. Respect and recognize, DJ Jes keeps it real as it gets on all fronts.

Also servin' up the beats this Saturday is our very own Lenny Alfonso and DJ Wil rounded out by resident DJ Carlos Sanchez to kick it up a few more degrees in the caliente department. Yes ladies...between DJ Jes, Lenny Alfonso and Carlos Sanchez, there is some seriously sexy Latin flava in the house...and don't sleep on ma man Wil either, just peep his press photos on Facebook ;-)

All I can say is WOW! I had an amazing time this past Halloween weekend all around. The weekend started early with Keith Evan's B-Day edition of Soundbar with Ben Watt. Much props to my boy Keith for throwin' it dowwwwwwn. Sick set...glad I wasn't in Ben Watt's shoes following that set son ;-)

Saturday was an amazing night at the Patio Sessions Halloween Party as well. It was great to have the Denver crew as well as my brother in the house for a weekend of sick beats and some costumed debauchery. Damn I love Halloween! Congratulations to my boy Joey M and his beautiful new wife Fawn, I am glad we had the opportunity to be a part of your wedding. Good stuff all around!

Thanks to all my Denver DJ peeps for making the night an extra special event and I gotta give a big shout out to the crew at SATAY as well for putting on a great wedding reception and holding it down all night long...I know it was a long one, but we did it!

We would like to thank all of the guest DJ's that joined us for a great month of weather and music, we look forward to bringing more of Las Vegas' dance music community together in the months to come. This weekend is Residents Night where Carlos and myself take the reigns for the evening for an all night tag team set. If you really love gettin' down and dirty with the underground stuff, residents night is where we get to push the envelope a little bit, test out lots of new material and find the boundaries of what we can play on the SATAY Patio. From the deep to the vocal to the bumpin' and even towards some more techie flavors, we always enjoy taking things on a little journey for residents night. Be sure and join us after the big UFC fight this Saturday (Go Lyoto Machida!) as we take things on a musical ride.

We hope you are all getting your bad ass costumes together for our Grindhouse Music Halloween party next Saturday. All I can tell you about mine is that it will probably make me want to do very villainous things all night long ;-) We have been looking forward to this little throwdown for some time as my very good friends Joey and Fawn from Denver will be getting married here next weekend with a giant crew of Mile High beat heads in tow. We will be having a 6 DJ, B-Movie smackdown with 3 different tag teams going head to head for the evening. This weeks Patio Sessions welcomes longtime Vegas DJ Royce Ramirez. OK just kidding. On a serious note, Royce has long been a part of Vegas' dance community holding down regular gigs and residencies at legendary spots like Utopia and Drai's back when electronic dance music ruled the desert like a gila monster biting your big toe. Royce's early ventures in dance music saw him on stage with electronic bands as the keyboardist and the drummer from the 80's onward. He now flexes the same skills and love of dance music in the studio as he has been hard at work producing house music hoping to not only put the 702 on the map but to chase that all elusive perfect beat. Lately he has been releasing music with Jason Rios and Andy Taylor under their new digital label Big Wheel Music based here in the LV. Oh yes! I am back in the 702 after an amazing few days in Denver last weekend but glad to be back to this perfect weather and another weekend filled with beats.

Thanks to all that came out last weekend for Frank Richards as he dusted of the ole wax (That would be vinyl records for all you digital babies!) for his night of dance classics. Heard it was a doozy...as much of a doozy it can be without the #1 trouble maker in the house that is ;-)

This weeks special guest is Baltimore transplant Mike Hopper. Mike has a rich history in house music within the Baltimore scene and has had numerous residencies there throughout the years. Baltimore is home to house legends like the Basement Boys and Mike Hopper is not a DJ to be sleepin' on by a longshot. His meticulous programming ,music knowledge and DJ skills will take you from the deep to the jackin' to the techie and back again smooth like buttah baby...truly a musical journey every time he steps to the decks. Just how we like it, we hope you do too!

Don't forget to start thinking about your Halloween costumes as it will be upon us before you can carve 1 triangle into your pumpkin bumpkin! Fair enough, he got a new job over at City Center and was not able to make it for a little time on the ones and twosies with us. Congratulations and a sexy little touché to Nate, always good to see our peeps hangin' tough and makin' shit happen in this crazy economy.

As many of our out of state peeps are starting to put on their jackets, boots and sweaters, we have the luxury of rolling into the Vegas season that is pretty much...well, perfect. The patio has been absolutely beautiful of late and will continue to get even nicer for these next couple of months ahead, rest assured.

If you haven't noticed yet, I am absolutely ecstatic to be joining Carlos Sanchez and the crew over at SATAY as their newest resident DJ. I look forward to bringing that Casa Del Soul flava to Las Vegas along with pushing some great music every week which leads me to this week's lineup. Originally slated as the special guest, this week is now officially residents night! Woo hoo! Carlos and I will be tag teaming it all night long which is becoming a very tight team if I do say so myself. You be the judge. I challenge you to a dance off!

First off, I would like to thank all who came out and made last weekend such a great one. The weekend after the Labor Day Weekend blow-out as well...bunch of professional party peeps in this town for sure.

My boy Adam Collins rocked the house Thursday at Soul Kitchen for an amazing night with Edgar Reyes and the crew. Dare I say Soul Kitchen might just be the party that puts Vegas haunt, The Artisan, back on the map as a cool place to hang out. The bacon is in the frying pan so to speak so we'll see if we can't light a fire under it...because everything is better with bacon right?

Also, a big thanks to the small but dedicated group of peeps that made it to Downtown Cocktail Room on Friday for Crazy Larry's deep and heady 2+ hour throwdown. Casa Del Soul's youngest member of the crew made daddy proud...the kid is gettin' all growed up, guess living in Brooklyn will do that to a bruva. Last but not least, thanks for another great Session on the patio last Saturday as our boy Theory put the Jack back into Jack's House. Well done, stick a fork in it.

It has been quite a long time since I have had the pleasure of DJing in Denver let alone with the entire Casa Crew for a night of beats and debauchery.

Commit Clothing headed up by Sweat Records' Zack Larsen and Denver's DHA crew have rolled up their sleeves and put together an event that even I would have thought to be impossible. They have put all the pieces into place for the holiday break to bring the Casa Del Soul Crew together for a long awaited Casa Reunion Party with all six DJs from the crew stepping up on deck duty for the entire evening. It has been a long time since we all played together as all of our lives and music careers have taken many different paths over the years. Even with all the years and the distances apart (Berlin, Las Vegas, NY/NJ, Miami, SF), our love and passion for dance music is still the line that will connect us all regardless of time or place.

I am really looking forward to getting the chance to throw down with the crew for an evening as well as reconnecting with the many faces and names that used to shop for beats at the store for it's 5 year run at good old 11th & Broadway. I feel like a proud poppa to see so many of you taking the next step in your music lives with production, events and making your own names as DJs, carving out your own mark in Denver's rich dance music history.

We welcome "Fabulous" to the Orleans with open arms as they bring the massive back to Vegas...some of you may remember when Camel brought Camel Move to the desert, that was a long time ago to say the least. "Fabulous" will be the biggest and best dance event in Las Vegas Halloween weekend hands down. DJ DEALER'S "JOYRIDE" ALBUM RELEASE TOUR

DJ Dealer and Lisa Millett met years ago at a European music conference in Rimini, Italy. At the time, Lisa’s massive vocal on ATFC’s “Bad Habit” was literally tearing through the entire dance industry. Through this connection, Dealer called upon Lisa to do a song together which ended up being the original production “Closer”. Releasing the cut on Dealer’s own Look At You imprint, this early project was the beginning of a very special relationship between the two artists.

Following that first production, Dealer was asked to remix The Goodfella’s “Soul Heaven” on Azuli (UK) which featured Lisa on vocals. Through these projects, DJ Dealer fell in love with Lisa’s voice along with the amazing personality that she brought to the table in the studio. The rest as they say, is history.

Upon developing DJ Dealer’s first full length album “Joyride”, it only made sense that he would once again call on Lisa to work on a song together. Almost 2 years in the making, “You’re All I Need” came to fruition as the first essential cut on “Joyride”. As the album began to take shape, Lisa ended up doing 2 more songs which have collectively become the vocal anchor that ties “Joyride” together. With three key vocal cuts on the album, it made perfect sense for DJ Dealer and Lisa Millett to tour together in support of “Joyride”.

Along with the collaborations and production work, the two have already done live shows together in Denver, San Francisco, London and most recently Las Vegas. They also have more production projects in the works for Lisa’s forthcoming album. Stay tuned as DJ Dealer and Lisa Millett take all of these ingredients and take it live on the road for the “2008 Joyride Tour!”

Las Vegas clubs have not had the ear nor the respect of serious dance music heads for quite some time. Although Vegas has some of the sickest clubs on the planet it still has yet to produce another club or club night that is an important part of the global dance phenomenon since the early Utopia days in the mid and late nineties.

London's Fabric, Cielo in NYC, Chicago's original Crobar or Space in Miami all come to mind as clubs that have put their respective cities on the global map of dance music. With the opening of "Origin" at Teatro, it is a fresh spark and I truly hope that it marks the beginning of a new era in Las Vegas' large but musically limited nightclub landscape.

Not to say that serious dance music is not represented in Las Vegas, on any given week you can hear many of the worlds top jocks holding it down in places like Jet, Empire Ballroom and Body English. The catch is that most of the proper dance nights are during the week rather than being a choice for the always-up-for-it weekend Vegas crowds. Yet another reason to be excited about the potential of "Origin".

So strap up and take a spin on the dancefloor this Friday as Miguel Migs headlines the opening party of what I hope to be the beginning of a Las Vegas house legend. See you there!

Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas on the corner of Fremont Street and Las Vegas Blvd, "Downtown" is fast becoming one of the best local haunts in the 702. Fully equipped with a Funktion One soundsystem (Legendary NYC house club Cielo is also tricked out with this amazing soundsystem!), I am anxious to hear it bumped up to its full potential for this special occasion.

CRIME ON CANVAS KILOWATT Vol. 2 / EVENT RECAP & REVIEW

THIS AIN'T YOUR BASIC VEGAS MASH UP!
First of all I would like to thank everybody that made it out for this event and to all the people that put so much elbow grease and brain power to make this such a great (and unique!) event. I think the best feedback I heard for the night was DJ 88 saying "I doesn't feel like we are in Vegas" while working up a sweat on the dancefloor right in front of a bumpin' speaker stack. It's a curious thing, all of Vegas' grandiose hotels and casinos try and transport you to some exotic destination but they never "really" make you feel like you are not in Las Vegas.

The Crime On Canvas/Kilowatt v.02 definitely did create a different atmosphere than the Vegas nightlife scene is accustomed to. It felt more like warehouse party in major cultural hubs like NYC or Los Angeles. Sure, Vegas' nightlife is on the map, but it still has a long way to go as far as having events/parties that people keep tabs on from all over the world like NYC's "Body & Soul".

Upon entering the event, the party people were treated to a gallery show in the lobby of the Aruba Hotel featuring canvas prints of original paintings by guest DJ, Ge-ology. As the mingling carried into the main room of the Aruba, guests were immediately blown away by the 20ftx10ft ghetto blaster stage set/DJ booth. If that wasn't enough...customized, real-time video artistry by Greg Leeper of Opticus Video made the whole set jump to life as the moving images were projected from the back of the ghetto blaster where the speakers would be. Not only did the whole set-up bring the boom box to life, it really brought the whole room to life and gave the crowd something they could just bug out on.
The music started of perfectly with a very solid set by special late add to the roster, Theory (Check out the DJ mixes 4 Download on this blog!). Setting a nice tone for the night, the room began to fill up as The Martinez Bros. (Danny Boy & B-Boy Steve) stepped up to the decks for second set of the night rockin' that funky stuff.

Next up in the prime time slot was our guest DJ for the night, Ge-ology. Let me tell you...Brooklyn was most certainly in the house! Ge-ology picked up where the Martinez Bros. left off and proceeded to take us all on an unbelievably smooth musical journey that moved effortlessly from soul to hip-hop, to house and drum and bass then back again. This was not even close to your basic Vegas mash up as Ge-ology proceeded to push the musical boundaries with abstract sounds mixed with underground hits that you never knew were hits (Until you heard them jump out of the speaker stacks!).

Crowd-wise there was a great mix of downtown hipsters, clubbers and house heads alongside our favorite posse of gay party animals led by our fearless promotional firecracker, Rachel Wenman. There were even a couple of stray glamour-pusses that made their way away from the strip to shake a stiletto or two, sparkly dress and all.

Last but not least, I would like to apologize to all of those that came to hear me (DJ Sensé) close out the night with some bumpin' house beats. The crowd kind of faded out a little earlier than we expected as well as the fact that Ge-ology was right on the money for his entire set...we just had let him stay on til the end!

SOUL KITCHEN LIGHTS A CHILLY VEGAS NIGHT ON FIRE
If you know anything about house music then you will know the scene is built around the concept of community amongst many other things. Last night Vegas' house community came together as we celebrated the 36th birthday of Soul Kitchen resident DJ and creator of the longest running house music weekly in Las Vegas, Edgar Reyes. The night started off slow but the drinks were flowing and the music was perfect as the night eventually got jumpin' around 1:30-2am.

Ending off his set with classics like Jaydee's "Plastic Dreams" and one of my all time favorites...Blaze's "Lovlee Day", Edgar Reyes got the energy up and set the stage perfectly for guest DJ Rudy V. hailing from the City Of Angels.

Rudy V. kept the fires burning with a very solid set of vocal house peppered with some Latin house gems alongside classic vocals like Joey Negro's classic feel-good remix of Erro, "Change For Me".

The party continued to rock the spot as local house diva Jessica Lynn killed it with a sultry rendition of "Happy Birthday" live on the mic for el birthday boy.

Next up was guest DJ Will "Reel Soul" Rodriguez as he came out of the happy birthday intermission with all time favorite and NYC classic, Basement Jaxx's "Fly Life". Will continued to capture the audience with an onslaught of some proper house music as he played with some big hits like Martin Solveig's rock guitar laden "Everybody" and then brought us back to the head nodding grooves that Soul Kitchen has been known for over the years.

If you can't tell, Red Room was on fire last night and let me just say this...all the "real" movers and shakers in Las Vegas had their feet firmly planted on the dancefloor. Nice one indeed!

CRIME ON CANVAS KILOWATT Vol. 2 / EVENT UPDATE!

GIANT GHETTO BLASTER WILL SET THE STAGE!

We have just added a very special feature to the stage of the Crime On Canvas Kilowatt event that you will have to see to believe. We will be doing a set design for the DJ booth that will be a giant 20ft x 10ft ghetto blaster with a cut-out for the DJ booth that will be 4ft x 3ft. We also have some other great surprises in store so stay tuned!

DESIGN NOTES
I started by illustrating this entire thing in Adobe Illustrator almost entirely from scratch (some of the little icons were iStock illustrations). From there, the background and all of the ghetto blaster parts were imported into Photoshop as 2 separate layers. I then put a brushed steel background image on top of both layers separately. By doing this I was able to get 2 different levels of the brushed steel on each layer to give it more depth and some texture variation.

IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS JACK, AND JACK HAD A GROOVE...

The original concept of Casa Del Soul started in the early nineties when DJ Sensé converted his parents garage into a makeshift clubhouse of sorts. Back then he was going to college at Syracuse University and caught the electronic music bug by way of Colorado's early rave scene as well as getting huge influences from his frequent trips to NYC. There DJ Sensé gained much of his dance music roots and sensibilities while going to the original Disco 2000 at the Limelight, going to Danny Tenaglia's seminal D-Tour nights at the Tunnel and of course taking note from the magical nights on the dancefloor at Twilo. All of which contributed greatly to the sound and influences of Casa Del Soul on so many levels.

Eventually the turntables, mixer and a home stereo system came to be the centerpiece of this makeshift clubhouse and DJ Sensé and a small group of his friends began collecting records in '91. Through the years DJ Sensé created tight bonds and relationships with a very tight knit crew driven by house music. This creative space became the original Casa Del Soul. This clubhouse was the starting point for friends to get together and more times than than not, it was the place to come to after the raves. There DJ Sensé and many of his friends shared memories, music, art, and more that would go on to last to this day.

Years down the road as the crew began to build their collections of dance music and really learn the craft of DJing, Casa Del Soul also came to be a collective DJ crew. It eventually came to be a crew of DJ's who shared the same ideals and love for dance music. For this crew, music always came first. Fuck trying to be a superstar, fuck trying to be cool because we were DJ's, it was always about the music and it has continued to be about the music even now.

After graduating from Syracuse with a degree in Advertising design, DJ Sensé worked the odd job out of school and eventually started doing graphic design with an upstart design firm called Factory Design Labs started by fellow DJ and dance music lover Jonas Tempel. Factory Design Labs has become one of the nations hottest creative agencies and is responsible for the hugely successful online dance music site, Beatport www.beatport.com.

While working at Factory Design Labs DJ Sensé had always dreamed of opening a record shop, which eventually came to fruition in '98. On a shoestring budget and a dream Casa Del Soul Records was born and eventually became Denver's premier record shop for all genres of electronic dance music from downtempo to drum and bass, to house and techno, to progressive and trance and beyond.

Scraping together some money to start a record label to coincide with the store, DJ Sensé released Casa Del Soul's first record in late '99. The record was DJ Foxx "The Collective EP" which went on to appear on the very first Tyrant mix CD mixed by none other than Lee Burridge and Craig Richards. From that point on DJ Sensé truly realized he had more to contribute to the world of dance music than just a record shop. Casa Del Soul Records continues to put out underground house records and will continue to release music as long as it can.

Casa Del Soul Records originally set out to be the musical line that ran through the entire DJ crew. Each individual DJ had something fresh to bring to the table from their influences and personal tastes behind the decks. These individual musical tastes covered a very broad spectrum of dance music and the result, a hybrid record label was born that many have categorized as “tech-house”. Though somewhat accurate in its description, DJ Sensé describes the music that he has released on Casa Del Soul as "Music that rides the line between genres and give DJ’s those crucial records to get from one place to another."

Coming from a collective of 6 core DJ's, Casa Del Soul had become a hybrid label that sounded fresh and new, but best of all it came from a unique perspective that was distinctly Denver. Denver, being situated in the center of the country has always had a lot of different influences when it came to dance music. Denver would get breaks from the South, techno, disco house and booty house from the midwest, that laidback house sound of the West Coast, tribal and garage sounds that DJ Sensé brought back with him from NYC and of course the many different sounds that came in from Europe.

In March of 2003 when the crew was packed and ready to go to WMC in Miami, disaster struck as Denver experienced one of its largest snowstorms in years dropping over 3 feet of wet snow overnight. The rooftop of a 3 story nightclub next door to Casa Del Soul collapsed on top of the record shop and was deemed unsafe for anyone to enter by Denver's civil engineer. The entire contents of the store and everything in it was destroyed and the remains were demolished and taken away. It can be described none other than devastating to the whole crew and to Denver's dance community as a whole.

After months of dusting off the rubble so to speak, DJ Sensé eventually got back on his feet, moved to New Jersey/New York City and began rebuilding the label with the help of a newly inked P&D deal with Syntax Distribution in Long Island City. There the label got back on it's feet and began releasing records once again.

After two years in the Big Apple DJ Sensé moved himself and the label operations back to Denver to produce music and DJ with longtime friend and colleague DJ Dealer (Look At You Records, formerly of The Pound Boys). There he began to take the label in a more US House direction with the newly formed partnership and newly found spark for all things house music once again.

Presently DJ Sensé now resides in Las Vegas and continues to own and operate Casa Del Soul Records with the same ideals and ethos that he started with from the beginning. He has also brought Vegas house DJ Carlos Sanchez on board to help run label operations. Carlos is one of the partners of House Society and has been an integral part of bringing REAL dance music back to Vegas through events and his numerous DJ residencies throughout the city.

As you can see, Casa Del Soul has weathered quite a storm already but one thing is for certain. House music saved it's life in more ways that you can imagine. Peace, love and beats...viva Casa Del Soul...and the saga continues.
